all  that  remains  of  the  pier behind  the  former  Captain's  Table  Restaurant ... during  the  80's  the  restaurant  changed ownership and  names  several  times. before  closing  it  was last known   as  ' the  Rusty  Rim ' …   back  in  the  late  70's  when it  was  still  known  as  Captain's  Table it  was  possible  to  sit  out  on the pier and  watch  the  sun set, while enjoying  a cold drink and  ' heart  of  palm salad '

Bouquinistes- Book  Stalls  along  Seine Paris ,  2019 ... iconic  green  boxes   originally  selling   used  books. ... the  first  boxes  appeared  during  the  late 16th  century ... times  change  and  the   booksellers  have  adapted  by  adding   souvenir  trinkets …  postcards, paintings, comic books, Eiffel  tower  key chains and  even  'love locks'  which  have  been banned, but still found on the ponts and practically  every  chain in central  Paris
