Monument de la France Renaissante the  bronze  statue  on  the left  was  designed     by   Holger  Wederkinch  in 1930 to  represent   Joan  of  Arc... it  was  believed  to  be  too   warrior  in  design  and was  renamed   Monument de la France Renaissante.  recast  in  bronze  and  donated to  Paris  in  1948. moved  to  present  location on Ile aux Cygnes island beside  the  Pont  Bir  Hakeim   near the  Eiffel  Tower in  1958 ... gilded  bronze  statue  of  Joan  of  Arc by  Emmanuel  Frémiet in 1874 located  at  Place des  Pyramides  ...   gilded  statue  is  a familiar  sight   to  anyone  walking  to  the  French  Market  in  New  Orleans. the  replica  of  the  Frémiet  statue  was  a  gift  from  France   installed  in  1972   after  being  in  storage for  14 years

Downtown Gainesville .. Gainesville     Ocala   Dunnellon should  catch  up  to    the  average  rainfall this  coming  week. kinda  love  it   but   only  if  I  don't   plan  on  driving. so  old   British  movies   and  computer  time   will  be  the  norm.

In  &  Out back  in the early  70's   this  was  the best   burger  and 'base' ( a chocolate shake ) place  in  Gainesville. … burgers  just  the  way   you  wanted. …  franchise  burgers began  to  take over  and  had  better locations... closer  to campus. … since  then  the   old  building  has seen   many  new ethnic offerings   maybe  that  is why it  keeps  changing  ownership.
