  Whistle Stop Cafe 443 McCracken St. Juliette, Ga. constructed in 1927 as a general merchandise store. closing in 1972 then used as an estate office, and later an antique shop before use as the main setting for the movie Fried Green Tomatoes at the Whistle Stop Cafe ( adapted from Fannie Flagg's book in 1991 )

Mingo Falls entrance        Cherokee, NC   major improvements.  161 steps to the top  are still steep, but the flat path to the falls is wider  and less dangerous. definitely a must see if  going through Cherokee.
