of  the  fire  that  threatened  

  to  completely  destroy  

the  Cathedral.

Fortunately  the  fire  was  

contained  enough  to  confine 

the  major  damage  to  the

roof  and   spire.

…

upper  interior  walls  

were  severely  damaged.

but  

two  pipe  organs 

the  famous  rose  windows 

suffered  minor or  no damage.

…

restoration  is  already  in  progress.

 timeline  for  completion 

 of  restoration  is  anywhere  

from  a hopeful  five  years ,

to  a  more  conceivable twenty years.
